Softer Landings in Your Future
Camp Woodward, the BMX, skateboard and inline capital of action sports training, has developed a program for snowsports. Copper Mountain and Camp Woodward have partnered to bring these innovative practices here, becoming the first winter-focused training facility of its kind in North America.
Whether going for your first grab or trying to land your first double cork, one-, two- and three-day classes will employ learning tools and techniques featuring trampolines and foam pits so you can learn aerial awareness, assuring softer landings to ride away from.
Construction of the facility is ongoing with a grand opening during the 08/09 season, plus summer camps in 2009. For more information, call 800-458-8386 or 970-968-2882 or visit www.woodwardatcopper.com.
THREE’S COMPANY; FOUR’S A CARPOOL
Load that SUV with three or more of your friends and you’ll be hero of the day. On select weekends, premier parking in the Alpine lot is yours to enjoy when you carpool.
This VIP parking is as close as you can be to the shuttle buses, getting you on the slopes faster, and back to your car faster at day’s end.
Carpoolers also will be entered in a season pass giveaway for the 2009-10 winter season at Copper Mountain Resort.
Promote carpooling by picking up a free bumper sticker: “Copper Pities the Fool Who Doesn’t Carpool,” “Carpoolers Get More Action,” or “Carpoolers Do It Together.” Get yours before they disappear.

PLAY AT COPPER ON YOUR TIME
The last thing you want on a vacation is a schedule of where you have to be at a certain time. You left all of that when you kicked the city off your shoes. It’s time for freedom.
Create your own vacation experience when the time is right for you.
For example, try the Ski and Ride School Free Tips. If you don’t want to spend a day, or even a half day, in a traditional lesson format, but if you do want to hone your technique a bit, this one-run program is for you. You can meet an instructor at a lift, and ski or ride with him or her for one run while picking up valuable improvement tips. Here’s where the freedom comes in; there is no sign-up or cost involved, and instruction takes place all day in marked areas near designated ski lifts.
Or join the Ski and Ride School Relaxed Starts. Here’s the flexibility you want, especially on mornings when it’s hard to start the day.
You can choose to show up for a 10am or 11am class. Both classes end at 3:30pm, and are offered from Union Creek, the designated ski and ride area.
Other Copper programs have a built-in freedom flexibility – the Tucker Mountain Snowcat, the Beeline Advantage and Kids Night Out, to mention a few.
